My other encounter with Squab was when I was 8 yrs old and to this day I can remember every bite of it which led me to order this. Although it did not come close to the original, after all the first one was prepared by an Asian Chef and I am just a want to be, it melted in my mouth and had a bit of gaminess to it that I found delightful. The surprise? The head and feet were still attached and that was a stab to the heart however I have cleaned many a bird fresh from the hunting field and got over this quickly. Not a lot of flesh on this bird but what there is is delicious.
